Our Lettuce Grow Program interns assist our Correctional Facilities Director, Rima Green. Tasks vary and are dependent on program needs and intern interests. We’re especially keen with applicants who are self driven and have patience working with correctional facilities. We’re currently partnered with correctional facilities throughout Oregon. Responsibilities may include driving across the state to connect with Lettuce Grow volunteers, facilitate classes, data entry, research grants and create or expand on refining our program. Interns go through a department of correction background check, attend a DOC training, and will work closely with our Lettuce Grow Program Director. Gardening experience is welcome but not required, interns will work out in the garden with our inmate students and have an opportunity to facilitate indoor/outdoor garden lessons.
**We are at capacity with Winter Internships however we encourage you to apply for Spring! Read the detailed LETTUCE GROW INTERN DESCRIPTION: Here
