We’ve collaborated with National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) to develop an exciting internship that benefits NUNM students and our nonprofit needs.
Our nutrition education framework: We focus on sharing positive experiences around eating fruits and vegetables. We don’t assume that we know what is best for people’s health. Access is a huge issue for children and low-income families. Our goal is to encourage the consumption of fruits and vegetables without judgment or “food shaming”. We model this behavior by showing creative ways of eating fruits and vegetables and providing the resources and recipes to be able to recreate the meals or snacks at home.

NUNM students can contact NUNM’s Internship Coordinator directly regarding hours or requirements: kbent@nunm.edu. We also encourage interested students to volunteer with our Youth Grow Program once a week prior to the in-depth internship- learn more here.
